The Passion That Builds Wellington Homes
My journey to becoming a Master Builder wasn't a standard one. It began with a genuine passion for timber and craftsmanship, but my early career took an unexpected and invaluable turn into heavy civil construction.

Building bridges, wharves, and major infrastructure across Wellington wasn't just a job—it was a masterclass in structural discipline. It forged my expertise in complex concrete, heavy steel, and zero-tolerance engineering. While most residential builders learn on the fly, I arrived in the residential sector with a "bridge-builder’s" eye for detail and a unique structural advantage that informs every KiwiBuilt project today.

Making it Personal
The shift to residential building ignited my true purpose. I realized that while building bridges is impressive, building a home is deeply personal. I thrive on the collaboration—stepping into your shoes to understand your vision, and then using my technical background to ensure that vision is built to last a lifetime.
As one client fondly remembers, the care we put into every detail is so evident that years later, their outdoor space is still known simply as "Corey’s deck."

Validation of the Vision
This philosophy of "Heavy-Duty Logic meets Fine-Grain Craft" was put to the ultimate test on a complex new-build villa in Kelburn. This project—the largest smart home in New Zealand—demanded every ounce of our structural and finishing skill. Winning the 2025 Supreme Regional Craftsmanship Award for that build was more than just a trophy; it was the ultimate validation of our team’s commitment.
